Beaty Centre for Marine Biodiversity is proudly located in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaw People. We honour and learn from Mi'kmaw knowledge, guided by the principle of Netukulimk.
We also recognize that African Nova Scotians are a distinct people whose histories, legacies and contributions have enriched Mi'kma'ki for over 400 years.
